SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Today, Americans for Prosperity-Utah (AFP-UT) announced its support for the Hope Scholarship Bill, a recently introduced education bill in the legislature that will allow families to direct education dollars to tuition, homeschool, online learning, or tutoring to meet their child’s individual learning needs.
AFP-UT will launch digital ads, radio ads, and mail to encourage families to contact their legislators in favor of the Hope Scholarship Bill. The grassroots organization is also mobilizing their army of volunteers and activists to reach families across the state and activate their support.
Heather Andrews, state director for Americans for Prosperity in Utah, released the following statement:
“The recently introduced Hope Scholarship bill will empower families with flexibility and choice to direct education funding to what is best suited for the unique needs of their children. Zip code or income should never determine a child’s future. We would like to thank bill sponsors Rep. Peirucci and Sen. Cullimore for being leaders on this critical issue to our children’s futures. We encourage legislators to support the Hope Scholarship bill, so every child in Utah has a fair shot to succeed.”
