Americans for Prosperity Thanks Gov. McMaster for Line Item Vetoes of Corporate Welfare Provisions
COLUMBIA, SC — Americans for Prosperity-SC (AFP-SC) today praised Governor Henry McMaster for issuing line item vetoes on 73 corporate welfare provisions in the budget totaling over $52.6 million.
AFP-SC State Director Candace Carroll released the following statement:
“Government should not be picking winners and losers. We applaud Governor McMaster for doing away with these corporate giveaways and putting taxpayers first. We strongly encourage the legislature to uphold his vetoes when they return on June 28th.”
