COLUMBIA, S.C. – Today, Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina (AFP-SC) released its midsession scorecard that serves as a tool for constituents to see how their legislators voted on key issues. The grassroots organization encourages constituents to utilize the scorecard as a catalyst for engagement with their elected officials to achieve full accountability and transparency.
Legislators are made aware of the votes included on the scorecard through key vote alerts and engagement with AFP-SC activists while the session is underway at the Capitol. Major priorities included in this scorecard include health care, education, tax reform and criminal justice reform.

AFP-SC State Director Candace Carroll issued the following statement:
“It’s critical that we take the time to elevate our policymakers that have fought hard to ensure that all South Carolinians can achieve their version of the American Dream. Despite all odds, we made great strides this year that will allow for families to thrive in what has been an unprecedented year. It’s up to us to ensure that their hard work does not go unnoticed.”
“Our dedicated team of activists will continue to focus on efforts that were unfortunately stalled, including the full repeal of certificate of need regulations and the abolishment of civil asset forfeiture in the Palmetto State. We also encourage citizens across the state to reach out to personally thank their lawmakers for defending our freedoms and remain in contact with them on these issues both in and out of session.”
