Americans for Prosperity: It’s Time for South Carolina to Allow Medicinal Cannabis
Bill to help South Carolinians access alternative treatments is one step closer to becoming law
COLUMBIA, SC — Americans for Prosperity – South Carolina (AFP-SC) today applauded the Senate for passing S.150, legislation introduced by State Senator Tom Davis to allow the use of medicinal cannabis.
AFP-SC State Director Candace Carroll released the following statement:
“It is time for South Carolina to join the 37 other states that allow residents access to medicinal cannabis. The current prohibition prevents South Carolinians from accessing alternative treatments that may help with their health problems and distracts the criminal justice system from its core function. We urge the House to quickly take up this critical legislation and send it to the governor’s desk.”
