Frankfort, KY — Americans for Prosperity-Kentucky (AFP-KY) today commended the Kentucky General Assembly for their efforts during this week’s special legislative session. The grassroots organization’s activists across the Commonwealth are eager to continue advocating for meaningful policy solutions to the greatest challenges Kentuckians face.
AFP-KY State Director Mike Conway released the following statement:
“The balance of power was restored with the special session in Frankfort this week. The General Assembly worked hard to pass four COVID-related bills and override the Governor’s vetoes of a prohibition on a statewide mask mandate and education-related concerns. This is a big step toward preventing executive overreach and ensuring that our elected leaders work together, especially during such difficult times. COVID is hitting Kentucky hard, and top-down solutions don’t work.”
