“State and local laws are outdated and a serious obstacle for Georgians looking to start or expand their own food truck business.”

ATLANTA – Americans for Prosperity – Georgia (AFP-GA) today applauded Representative Houston Gaines (R-117) for introducing HB 1443. The bill will streamline the regulatory process around food trucks to help Georgians build and expand small businesses.

Bill text is available here.

AFP-GA Deputy State Director Tony West released the following statement:

“Food trucks are a fun dining option across the Peach State and a cost-effective way to start a small business. However, state and local laws are outdated and a serious obstacle for Georgians looking to start their own food truck business. This bill will cut unnecessary red tape, eliminate duplicative fees, and create a streamlined process that will allow food truck operators to serve many more Georgians.”
