Hires new Grassroots Engagement Director for central Mississippi
JACKSON, MS – Americans for Prosperity – Mississippi (AFP-MS) has announced a new legislative bootcamp for grassroots activists. To run the training and engage Mississippians, AFP-MS has hired Stone Clanton as the Central Mississippi Grassroots Engagement Director.
AFP-MS State Director Starla Brown released the following statement:
“Our grassroots movements give communities the ability to shape their own development and positively impact societal progress. With Stone on board and through various trainings and workshops, AFP-MS will be better able to empower and educate Mississippians who are working at the local, state, and federal levels. Together, we can break barriers in the Magnolia State to ensure economic and social prosperity through free enterprise for all.

Stone’s Biography:
A Franklin County native now living in Clinton, Stone Clanton serves as the Central Mississippi Grassroots Engagement Director for Americans for Prosperity – Mississippi.
Stone graduated from Mississippi College in 2021 with Bachelors of Sciences in Political Science and History. After graduating, he served as a Graduate Intern in the Elections Division of the MS Secretary of State’s Office and then the Communications & Social Media Specialist for the Mississippi Center for Public Policy before coming on board with the AFP-MS Team in March of 2022.
Stone loves the Magnolia State and is passionate about making it the most free and prosperous state in the Union. He enjoys keeping up with politics and policy, history, pop culture, trotlining, and Yankees Baseball.
