AFP: Trump Admin Right to Eliminate Corporate Welfare

Nov 27, 2018 by AFP

ARLINGTON, Va. – Today Americans for Prosperity applauded the Trump administration for advocating against a costly tax carve out for electric vehicle manufacturers.

Americans for Prosperity Chief Government Affairs Officer Brent Gardner issued the following statement:

“We applaud the Trump administration for considering the elimination of the electric vehicle carve out – not because it will punish GM – but because it’s unfair corporate welfare that benefits a select group of well-connected companies at everyone else’s expense. This is what happens when politicians are empowered to pick winners and losers, and it’s exactly why we should eliminate corporate welfare in all forms – across the board.”
