AFP Promotes Klein, Raygor in Iowa Chapter Leadership
Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest grassroots advocacy group, announced two changes to the leadership structure today within one of its most successful state chapters – Iowa.
After more than nine years at the helm, former State Director Drew Klein is moving into a Regional Vice President role and his long-time deputy state director is stepping in as the new state director for the chapter which launched in 2012.
In his eight years with AFP, Raygor has served in multiple roles beginning as a field director in their Sioux City office before moving to Central Iowa and eventually leading the group’s statewide grassroots operation. As deputy state director, he joined the chapter’s under-the-dome lobbying efforts in 2019 and has taken the lead on state-level government affairs work for the last several years. Like Klein, Raygor is a native Iowan with deep roots throughout the state.
Klein will continue to reside in Iowa and serve as a senior advisor to AFP Action ahead of the Iowa Caucuses and the 2024 political cycle.

Americans for Prosperity has maintained a full-time capability in Iowa since January of 2012. Their grassroots approach to driving long-term policy change has resulted in major political wins throughout the state and policy transformation, including lower taxes, less regulation, and more educational freedom, among a long list of wins the organization has prioritized over the years. Its current footprint includes 10 full-time staff across six offices. In 2023 alone, AFP staff and activists have reached out to more than 365,000 unique households in Iowa to engage them on the issues that impact them and the future of our country.
