AFP – Nebraska Calls for Courage and Caution in Tax Reform
LINCOLN, NE – Today, Americans for Prosperity – Nebraska responded to efforts by state lawmakers to address property tax reform as outlined in a press conference by Governor Jim Pillen.
AFP – NE State Director John Gage issued the following statement:
“Real reform will take courage and caution. State lawmakers need to be willing to stand up to the local officials who are abusing their taxing authority and taxpayers. Lawmakers must cut, limit, and stop the growth of spending on all levels of government. Those fixes will not happen overnight, and lawmakers need to make prudent and long-term reforms to fully fix this problem. Nebraskans deserve true tax reform, not a tax shift.”
