AFP-MI Issues Statement on Sec. Granholm’s Visit to Michigan

Mar 26, 2024 by AFP

Lansing, Michigan—Today, former Michigan Governor and Biden Administration Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm returned to Michigan to boost the administration’s energy and labor policies. Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su and Michigan Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin joined her in promoting the White House’s “Bidenomics” agenda.

Americans for Prosperity-Michigan State Director Annie Patnaude issued the following statement about the visit:

“Secretary Granholm is returning to the scene of the crime having learned nothing about how excessive government spending and burdensome regulations hamstring economic progress and put the American Dream further out of reach. As governor, and now as energy secretary, Granholm has consistently sided with special interests over Michigan taxpayers.

“Rolling back worker freedom, mandating electric vehicles, and subsidizing favored energy interests will continue the decline that Granholm started as governor: shrinking take-home pay, shrinking population, and shrinking opportunity. Michiganders don’t want more “Bidenomics”. They want a real chance to achieve the American Dream—without having to leave the state they call home.”
