David Barnes is a policy expert at Americans for Prosperity, leading economic policy. He previously served as the policy director for AFP's grassroots partner, Generation Opportunity, developing policy for the grassroots youth organization.
Prior to that he held positions at the Heritage Foundation, the Republican National Committee, and e21: Economic Policies for the 21st Century. He has appeared on CNBC and Fox Business News, and his writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, TIME, the Chicago Tribune, The Hill, and other publications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Yale University.
