Beth Anne Mumford breathes in tax hikes and exhales spending cuts. She has spent her career learning how to educate the public, organize grassroots armies, and apply relentless grassroots pressure on wayward lawmakers. She brings her extensive experience to Americans for Prosperity’s growing team in Pennsylvania, where she has no hesitation to speaking economic freedom truth to self-serving power, Republican, Democratic, or otherwise.
Stopping cronyism and big government oppression has been her driving ambition from a /very/ young age. At the age of eight, Beth Anne decided she wanted to be the first female US Senator. However, the notion wasn’t too lofty though; she assumed it was a job that didn’t start until 10 a.m. After earning a degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, she moved to Washington, DC, where she learned a lot about politics and policy, and spent some time on Capitol Hill as congressional staff. She started to discover that it might be more fun to hold politicians accountable, than to be one herself.
As most people know, there’s not enough time in the day to stop tax hikes, corporate welfare, big government healthcare takeovers, and other bad policies. Hence, she’s usually up by 5:30 a.m. to begin her day as a mom to three spirited children who still think she should run for president. Her husband is a Pennsylvania native and the family lives in Harrisburg.
