Americans for Prosperity Joins Coalition Opposing Internet Sales Tax Bill

Americans for Prosperity has joined a coalition of nearly 20 organizations to tell Congress to oppose an internet sales tax.

The Remote Transactions Parity Act would give states dangerous new powers to tax businesses that don’t have a physical presence in the state.

Allowing local governments to tax across state borders would bury online businesses in an avalanche of regulations. Small companies could be forced to comply with thousands of jurisdictions.
