Grassroots group applauds Governor for raising awareness, encourages lawmakers to tackle key reforms
AUSTIN, TX—Americans for Prosperity-Texas (AFP-TX) tonight responded to Governor Greg Abbott’s 2021 state of the state address, highlighting his leadership in raising awareness regarding the need for pre-trial reform and other key challenges Texans are facing.
During the 2021 legislative session, AFP-TX will encourage lawmakers to support principled policy solutions to the greatest challenges the Lone Star State faces, through their Texas-Sized Reforms agenda.
AFP-TX Acting State Director Mack Morris issued the following statement:
“We’re pleased to see Governor Abbott’s leadership in raising awareness on key issues—such as pre-trial reform– requiring immediate attention this legislative session. On behalf of our activists across Texas, we thank Gov. Abbott for making pre-trial reform a priority issue and an emergency item for the legislature to address. We look forward to working with him on addressing this key issue, among others, to ensure Texas-Sized reforms are passed this legislative session.”
