Americans for Prosperity Reaction to HHS Choice and Competition Report

Dec 5, 2018 by AFP

ARLINGTON, Va. –  Americans for Prosperity Policy Manager David Barnes had this to say in response to the HHS Choice and Competition Report released on Tuesday:

“The Trump administration deserves tremendous credit for this bold, solutions-oriented plan to promote choice and competition in health care. AFP looks forward to continuing to work with the administration, Congress, and state legislatures to ensure all Americans can get the quality, affordable care they need and empower nurses and doctors to provide it.  That means embracing technology so rural families don’t have to take a day off from work to get care, reforming scope of practices restrictions to free health care professionals to do the jobs they’re trained to do, and eliminating needless certificate of need laws that force hospitals to seek government permission slips to serve their community. Commonsense health care solutions like these and many others, which promote entrepreneurship and combat cronyism, will be top priorities for our activists in state capitals across the country in 2019.” – David Barnes, AFP Policy Manager
