Americans for Prosperity Launches Digital Ad Campaign Urging Senator Tester to Oppose Elimination of Filibuster

“Montanans have no interest in changing the Senate rules to pass a wish list of extreme policies.”

HELENA, MT — Americans for Prosperity – Montana (AFP-MT) this week launched a digital ad campaign to apply pressure on U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-Mont.) to oppose the elimination of the Senate filibuster. The targeted, digital ad campaign asks Montanans to contact Senator Tester to express their support for bipartisanship and to reject a repeal of the filibuster.

AFP-MT State Director David Herbst released the following statement:

“Montanans have no interest in changing the Senate rules to pass a wish list of extreme policies. AFP-MT is urging Senator Tester to listen to his constituents and lower the partisan temperature. Instead of blowing up the filibuster to pass extreme policy that wouldn’t otherwise pass, Sen. Tester should work with his colleagues toward solutions that work for Montana.”
