Oklahoma City, OK – Americans for Prosperity-Oklahoma (AFP-OK) today issued a statement responded to Senate Pro-Temp. Greg Treat’s recent committee membership and leadership announcements for the upcoming 58th legislative session. Among the leadership roles announced, Sen. Adam Pugh (R-Edmond) will serve as chairman of the Senate Committee on Education.
AFP-OK State Director John Tidwell issued the following statement:
“We congratulate Sen. Pugh for his appointment as chairman of the Senate Education Committee. We have always known Sen. Pugh to be a thoughtful policymaker, addressing the toughest challenges Oklahomans face by finding principled policy solutions to improve our state. As we saw in his work to remove burdensome occupational licensing barriers, we know Sen. Pugh will bring a critical focus to creating an educational environment that meets the needs of every Oklahoma student.
