Apr 20, 2021 by AFP

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Americans for Prosperity-Arkansas (AFP-AR) today commended the Legislature for passing HB 1063, the Telemedicine Act. This bill will authorize health care professionals to remotely deliver virtual care through a patient’s choice of technology provider, including phone calls.

AFP-AR State Director Ryan Norris issued the following statement:

“It is critical that we work together to remove unnecessary restrictions hindering Arkansan access to important health care services. Permanently expanding access to telemedicine means Arkansans will have access to timely, effective, and affordable care. We thank the Legislature for recognizing the benefits of telehealth in our communities and urge Governor Hutchinson to swiftly sign this bill into law.”
