ANCHORAGE, AK – Americans for Prosperity-Alaska (AFP-AK) today announced Bernadette Wilson as its next state director. Wilson, an Alaska native, joins the organization with over a decade of grassroots leadership experience.

As a dedicated community leader and longtime business owner of Denali Disposal in Anchorage, Wilson has recently focused her efforts as a community organizer focused on protecting small businesses in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Leading Alaska’s largest grassroots organization, Wilson will strive for meaningful policy solutions to the greatest challenges Alaskans face. Based in Anchorage, she specifically will focus her time on making health care better and more affordable for families and getting Alaska’s economy back on track.

In a statement regarding her new position, Bernadette Wilson said:

“I’m excited to join a principled organization that works to improve the lives of so many. Now more than ever, Alaskans are looking for support in defending their freedoms, their businesses, and their children’s futures.”

“To link arms with Americans for Prosperity on behalf of so many Alaskans is truly an honor. It is also a responsibility I do not take lightly. I look forward to doing great things for Alaska and expanding on the already impressive grassroots footprint across our state.”
