CHARLESTON, WV—Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia (AFP-WV) today announced a new round of key vote alerts to Mountain State lawmakers. These alerts serve as a signal that AFP-WV views a piece of legislation as a priority and that roll calls on these bills may be included in the annual legislative scorecard.
AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman issued the following statement:
“AFP-WV is pleased to see so many pieces of priority legislation continuing to move through the legislative process. While there is certainly more to be done, we’re happy to see principled lawmakers using the proven resources in our Pathway to Prosperity legislative agenda to help make the Mountain State a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Key Votes have been issued on the following bills:
- HB 2190: Modifying bail requirements
- HB 2486: Reforming occupational revocation procedures
- HB 2204: Outlawing occupational licensing boards from hiring lobbyists
- HB 2554: Public open school enrollment
- SB 152: Expanding criminal offense expungement
- HB 3137: Personal income tax reduction fund
- SB 414: Protecting privacy from individuals who support nonprofit entities
- HJR 17: Resolution to put more money back in the pockets of hardworking West Virginians
