Jan 28, 2019 by AFP

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – As Utah’s 63rd legislative session begins, Americans for Prosperity-Utah announced its 2019 legislative agenda. The grassroots group plans to build broad policy coalitions to tackle the Beehive State’s toughest challenges.

“We’re ready to work with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to get policies over the finish line that will improve the lives of every Utahn. We see several opportunities for the legislature to break down barriers that are keeping Utahns from thriving,” said Americans for Prosperity-Utah State Director Heather Williamson. “Our grassroots community is uniquely positioned to encourage lawmakers to come together and work to make Utah the best state to live, work, and raise a family.”

Through grassroots outreach, AFP-Utah is driving long-term solutions to the state’s toughest challenges. In addition to working with lawmakers to reform Utah’s Medicaid program in order to deliver better outcomes and reduce budgetary concerns, the group will also marshal its resources to address important reforms to Utah’s criminal justice system and burdensome occupational licensing requirements.
