AFP-SC Hosting Infrastructure Event with Rep. Nancy Mace

Jun 17, 2021 by AFP

CHARLESTON, SC – Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina is hosting an End Washington Waste event with U.S. Representative Nancy Mace on Monday. Congresswoman Mace and Akash Chougule, Senior Advisor on Economic Issues for Americans for Prosperity, will discuss why the Biden Administration’s proposed infrastructure bill will do little to improve roads and bridges for South Carolinians and harm small businesses and the economy with historic tax hikes.

AFP-SC Interim State Director Candace Carroll issued the following statement:

“The more South Carolinians learn about this so-called infrastructure proposal, the less they are buying what the administration is selling. With only five percent of the $4 trillion package going to roads and bridges, the infrastructure proposal would do little to solve the underlying regulatory problems of our infrastructure issues while crushing small businesses who are trying to get back on their feet with $2 trillion tax increases. We are excited to have Rep. Mace talk with South Carolinians about why Congress needs to reject this bill and focus on reforms to our federal funding and regulatory systems rather than a partisan wish list.”
