AFP-OH Applauds Passage of Regulatory Reduction Efforts in Senate Bill 1

May 8, 2019 by AFP

COLUMBUS, OH—Americans for Prosperity-Ohio today applauded the Ohio State Senate for passage of Senate Bill 1, legislation that seeks to reduce the overwhelming regulatory burden that Ohioans face by an across-the-board goal of 30%. Overly burdensome regulations disproportionately impact the least fortunate, slow wage growth, and ultimately prevent workers and businesses from contributing meaningfully to their communities.

State Director Micah Derry recently testified in support of SB 1 in committee. AFP-OH will continue to advocate for the measure as it moves to the House.

AFP-OH State Director Micah Derry issued the following statement:

“Our organization is proud to support measures that reduce overly burdensome regulations that Ohioans face at the hands of the government. Senate Bill 1 is a great step towards reducing red tape, leading to the removal of barriers, reduction of compliance costs, and encouragement of innovation and entrepreneurship.”
