Grassroots Activists Lead the Way to Support Judge Kavanaugh’s Confirmation to Supreme Court

ARLINGTON, Va. – With Judge Brett Kavanaugh set to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Americans for Prosperity announced Tuesday the continuation of its seven-figure field, direct mail, and digital ad effort supporting Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation.

Last week, residents of North Dakota, Alabama, West Virginia, Indiana and Alaska received mailers highlighting Judge Kavanaugh’s demonstrated commitment to defending the constitution and interpreting the law as written. A second piece will hit mailboxes this week in North Dakota, Alabama, West Virginia and Indiana detailing Judge Kavanaugh’s sterling qualifications as a Supreme Court nominee. Both mail efforts urge residents to contact their U.S. Senators to express support for Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

In the eight weeks since President Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill Justice Kennedy’s seat on the Supreme Court, Americans for Prosperity activists’ energy and enthusiasm is stronger than ever before. In addition to AFP’s digital and mail campaign, its grassroots capabilities have led the way to confirmation, knocking on thousands of doors and making more than 760,000 phone calls urging senators to support Judge Kavanaugh. To date, Americans for Prosperity has reached out to more than one million Americans with a message of support for Judge Kavanaugh, already far exceeding what was achieved for Justice Gorsuch’s confirmation.

As Judge Kavanaugh takes the hot seat in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, we stand ready to champion his sterling record as a fair and qualified jurist—one who upholds the rule of law, and won’t legislate from the bench.”

Background:

In early July, Americans for Prosperity announced it would commit seven figures to support Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court because of his robust qualifications and long track-record of interpreting the laws as written and not legislating from the bench. Shortly following Kavanaugh’s nomination, AFP deployed door and phone scripts to all 36 state chapters and launched a digital and mail campaign urging Senators to support him.
