AFP-KY Launches First Annual Legislative Scorecard

FRANKFORT, KY—Americans for Prosperity-Kentucky (AFP-KY) today launched its first annual legislative scorecard to highlight the work state lawmakers put into removing barriers for Kentuckians. AFP-KY identified one lawmaker that stood out: Rep. Savannah Maddox (R-61). Efforts will launch today in Rep. Maddox’s district to thank her for her principled leadership this legislative session. Kentuckians may view their legislators’ votes on important AFP-KY legislation on the first-annual Kentucky Scorecard website.

Alongside general scorecard efforts, AFP-KY is joining a nationwide effort to celebrate policy reforms during Second Chance Month. AFP-KY will be utilizing direct mail and digital advertisements to highlight smart on crime legislative accomplishments made this legislative session.

AFP-KY State Director Andrew McNeill issued the following statement:

We’re pleased with the progress on criminal justice reform and campus free speech, concerned with the spending and new debt during a non-budget session, and appreciative of the principled leadership of Rep. Savannah Maddox. Further, we applaud the ‘Second Chances’ leadership demonstrated this session by Sen. Jimmy Higdon, Sen. Morgan McGarvey, and Sen. Gerald Neal.”
