DES MOINES, IA — Americans for Prosperity–Iowa (AFP-IA) congratulates Austin Stubbs on his victory in tonight’s Republican primary election for Iowa’s 45th House District.
Earlier this year, AFP‑IA announced its support for Stubbs as an authentic outsider and policy champion who will fight for Iowans bottom line while protecting Iowa family values.
AFP‑IA’s grassroots army of volunteers spoke to many Iowans about Stubbs’ policy priorities, including tax policy, regulatory environment and economic growth.
After the primary results, AFP‑IA State Director Tyler Raygor issued the following statement:
“Congratulations to Austin Stubbs on his hard-fought primary election night victory to represent HD-45.
“Tonight, the voters of HD-45 made it clear that the status quo did not represent their values. It’s clear that consistently voting against conservative policies and with special interests is not what the voters are looking for in a Representative. Austin Stubbs earned AFP-IA’s endorsement for his dedication to lower taxes and reduce red tape while protecting Iowa taxpayers’ hard-earned paychecks. Stubbs will help pass free-market reforms to lower health care and energy costs, paving the way for greater innovation and affordability.
