Boise, ID — Americans for Prosperity-Idaho (AFP-ID) launched a new thank you campaign this week highlighting principled lawmakers in the state who sided with Idaho families and entrepreneurs. The new campaign, consisting of both social media ads and physical mail, is just the first of a slate of accountability efforts planned by AFP-ID throughout the summer.
The campaign thanks Gov. Brad Little and House Speaker Mike Moyle for ensuring the passage of House Bill 559, which aligns the state’s tax code with provisions in the historic Working Families Tax Cuts Act.
It also highlights Sen. Lori Den Hartog, Rep. Douglas Pickett, Rep. Jason Crane, Rep. Jason Monks, and Rep. Jeff Ehlers for their crucial support in passing House Bill 645, which ensures self-employed workers in Idaho have access to portable benefits usually reserved for traditional employees.
AFP Regional Director Jesse Mallory gave the following statement:
“Both House Bill 559 and House Bill 645 were historic wins for this year’s session. Idaho families will now keep more of what they earn while Idaho entrepreneurs will have more flexibility and access for their work benefits. Our goal is to give Governor Little and the other lawmakers who helped secure these victories the recognition they deserve, and we look forward to more of our planned accountability efforts as summer gets underway.”
