LANSING, MI – Today, Americans for Prosperity–Michigan (AFP–MI) welcomed Vice President J.D. Vance to Auburn Hill, Michigan as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to revitalize American manufacturing, lower costs, and create more opportunity for Michigan’s families, workers, and businesses.

Vice President Vance’s remarks supported Americans for Prosperity’s nationwide campaign aimed at rallying lawmakers to address the rising cost of living. AFP’s “Affordability Agenda” pushes for reforms in energy, housing, health care and regulatory policy.

AFP-MI State Director Tim Golding issued the following statement:

“We are incredibly grateful to Vice President Vance for visiting Auburn Hills and engaging directly with Michigan families about the challenges we are facing. His visit underscores the urgency of advancing our nationwide affordability agenda, which advocates for policies that remove barriers to energy production, expand patient choice in health care, increase housing supply, and cut unnecessary government red tape.

“Americans are putting in the work every day, but too often, the system is stacked against them. By restoring competition, unleashing American innovation, and driving down the cost of living, we can give every Michigan family the opportunity for the lasting prosperity they deserve.”
