AFP Joins with CDT and SIIA to Oppose Age Verification Mandates

In a joint letter, Americans for Prosperity, the Center for Democracy & Technology, and the Software & Information Industry Association called on members of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to reject proposals that would require mandatory age-verification measures, warning that such mandates could jeopardize internet users’ privacy and security and infringe on constitutional rights.

Beyond detailing these risks, the letter also highlights more effective, less intrusive options that could better protect users.
