Alexandra Edmonds is a seasoned education policy and government relations professional with extensive experience working closely with Congressional leaders, U.S. Department of Education officials, and K-12 and postsecondary education leaders across the country. She brings a bipartisan, solutions-oriented approach to advancing innovative policy ideas and initiatives at the local, state, and federal levels.

At ILO Group, Alexandra served as a Senior Education Consultant where she led strategic initiatives to improve public education systems, with a particular focus on policy implementation, stakeholder engagement, and innovation in K-12 reform.   Her work included managing cross-functional teams, coordinating high-level convenings with district and state education leaders, detailed policy analysis, and cross-sector partnerships, and producing influential policy reports, most notably co-authoring the Framework for Implementing Artificial Intelligence in K-12 Education.

Prior to joining ILO Group, Alexandra was a Member Support Associate at Chiefs for Change, a national bipartisan network of education leaders. There, she provided direct coaching and technical assistance to state and district leaders, helping them navigate federal and state policy changes, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. She supported the implementation of instructional materials reforms, authored policy briefs, and facilitated strategic partnerships with education organizations.

Prior to that, Alexandra served as Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Education where she helped shape key policy priorities, led stakeholder engagement, and outreach strategy. She began her policy career on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant for the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce, where she supported legislative operations and coalition outreach. She has also worked for numerous members of Congress and congressional committees, and a bipartisan, bicameral government affairs consulting firm.

Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Leadership from the University of Mississippi, where she graduated cum laude from the Trent Lott Leadership Institute and the Honors College.
