COLUMBUS, OH – Today, Americans for Prosperity–Ohio (AFP-OH) and constituents across Ohio’s 9th District are calling on Rep. Marcy Kaptur to support a clean continuing resolution, reopen the federal government, and put an end to Washington’s partisan games.
This morning in Fremont, AFP-OH set up a bright red phone at Frisch’s Big Boy, where dozens of calls were placed to Rep. Kaptur demanding immediate action.
AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil released the following statement:
“Rep. Kaptur cannot hide from her role in this shutdown. Every day the government stays closed is a direct result of her refusal to support a clean funding bill. Families in the 9th District are paying the price while she plays politics in Washington. Ohioans deserve better, and we will not stop dialing until Rep. Kaptur listens to her constituents and votes to reopen the government.”
AFP-OH will continue to hold elected leaders accountable across the state until Washington puts people over politics and delivers the solutions Ohioans deserve.
