A commonsense agenda for an accountable, efficient, transparent government
Big Government is Broken
Americans are fed up. For too long, Washington D.C. has wasted Americans’ money, buried us in red tape, and failed to even get the basics right. Waste, fraud, abuse, and inefficiency run rampant while politicians pass the buck on responsibility to unelected bureaucrats. Transparency is almost nonexistent, accountability is nowhere to be found, and ordinary Americans are the ones paying the price — in higher costs, broken promises, and communities that suffer.
We deserve better.
A Government That Works for the People
It doesn’t have to be this way. The Make Government Work Agenda is a set of simple, commonsense reforms to fix Washington’s broken system. Together, these bills bring real accountability, force government to live within its means, and make sure politicians finally answer to the people they serve.
The Reorganizing Government Act:
cuts duplication, streamlines bureaucracy, and allows our leaders to eliminate agencies that no longer serve taxpayers.
The Prevent Government Shutdowns Act:
makes Congress stay in DC until they finish annual budget bills and keeps federal services working in the meantime.
The Comprehensive Congressional Budget Act:
gets Congress to review the entire federal budget instead of piecemeal parts, making it easier to cut wasteful spending and solve problems.
The REINS act:
ensures that costly, job-killing regulations can’t be pushed through without approval from elected representatives.
The Midnight Rules Relief Act:
stops politicians from ramming through last-minute rules on their way out the door, when voters can no longer hold them accountable.
Together, these reforms are about one thing: making government efficient, accountable, and transparent to the American people.
