AFP Issues Key Vote Alert: Protect Prosperity, Vote YES on “One Big Beautiful Bill”
WASHINGTON, DC—Following this evening’s vote in the House Rules Committee, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) issued a Key Vote Alert to protect prosperity and put America back on the path to long-term economic growth, urging Members of the House of Representatives to vote “yes” on Republicans’ reconciliation package.
AFP Chief Government Affairs Officer Brent Gardner issued the following statement:
“The original Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was an unmitigated success for American workers, job creators, and the nation’s economy. There should be no question about renewing these tax cuts and making them permanent for all Americans.
“We applaud the work done in committee to undo some of the most disastrous effects of the Biden Administration, which will cut wasteful spending and unleash energy abundance—making power both more reliable and more affordable for families and businesses.
“On top of providing certainty and peace of mind for millions of families and businesses, this bill will deliver critical resources to address border security and the failed immigration policies of the previous administration.
“Republicans have the opportunity to lock-in pro-growth policies that will benefit every American for a generation. That’s what voters were promised, and that’s what they expect.
“We look forward to continuing this work in the Senate and hope that the upper chamber will move quickly to send this bill to President Trump’s desk. This is AFP’s top priority, America’s top priority, and Washington’s top priority – it’s time to get it done.
