Scott Rausch is the Deputy Director of Federal Government Affairs at Americans for Prosperity, bringing more than 20 years of experience in legislative and policy work at both the state and federal levels.
Originally from Burlington, Wisconsin, Scott began his career in public service before graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, getting his start in the office of then-Congressman Paul Ryan. He spent over a decade working in Wisconsin state government before relocating to Washington, D.C., where he has held several senior roles in both legislative offices and federal agencies.
From 2023 to 2025, Scott served as Policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, helping to shape and advance policy priorities with a strong connection to his home state.
Scott lives in Annandale, Virginia, with his wife Patricia and their Miniature Schnauzer, Pepper. He enjoys exploring historical sites, visiting national parks, and cheering on his favorite Wisconsin sports teams—especially the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers, of which he’s a proud shareholder and "owner."
