Americans for Prosperity-Ohio Releases Letter in Support of H.B. 11 Alongside a Dozen Grassroots Organizations
COLUMBUS, OH – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH), The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), and the Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF), alongside nearly a dozen additional Ohio grassroots coalitions, released a letter expressing strong support for H.B. 11. This bill, regarding the Regulations from the Executive In Need Of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, is a critical step towards fostering transparency and accountability in the rulemaking process.
In the letter, the organizations highlighted three key provisions of the H.B. 11 that will significantly benefit Ohioans:

Restoring Accountability and Transparency: House Bill 11 will ensure that any regulation with significant financial impact undergoes legislative approval, preventing unelected agencies from imposing costly rules without oversight.

Protecting Ohio’s Economy and Taxpayers: By requiring elected representatives to review major regulations, the bill aims to prevent regulatory overreach that could stifle job growth, raise living costs, and harm Ohio’s competitiveness.

Fostering a Pro-Growth Regulatory Environment: The REINS Act will promote responsible policymaking, safeguard small businesses from undue burdens, and support innovation, investment, and opportunity across the state.
