AFP-FL Highlights New Ad Campaign and Grassroots Push to Extend Trump Tax Cuts
AFP’s Tax Day Ads Warn Americans of Massive Tax Hikes Next Year if TCJA Not Renewed
Tallahassee, FL – Today, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is launching a seven-figure ad and grassroots campaign highlighting what will be a Tax Day nightmare next year for working families across Florida if Congress fails to renew the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). This critical legislation has provided essential tax relief to families and small businesses nationwide and is overwhelmingly supported by hardworking Americans.

AFP-FL State Director Skylar Zander released the following statement:
“The 2017 Trump tax cuts were the most pro-growth tax reform efforts in American history, and AFP was proud to work alongside President Trump and leaders in Congress to give hardworking Americans much needed relief.
“At the end of the year, key provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will expire. As a result, the average hardworking family in Florida will face a $3,505 federal tax hike. AFP-FL is committed to reminding taxpayers that lawmakers like Congressman Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) are standing in the way of extending the Trump tax cuts for Florida families, workers, and small businesses so they keep more of their hard-earned money.”
In addition to digital and radio ads, AFP-FL will be hosting multiple events throughout the state on Tax Day to underscore the urgency to act. The grassroots events on April 15th will feature mobile billboard trucks, sign waiving outside of Rep. Moskowitz’s district office, and more. Following a series of TCJA roundtables with Florida Representatives Rutherford, Dunn, and Cammack, AFP-FL brought the voices of various heads of households and local business owners to the lawmakers making the case for why the TCJA renewal impacts their bottom-line.

This campaign is a continuation of AFP’s $20 million commitment made in January – the largest investment of any outside limited-government conservative organization in support of a key pillar of President Trump’s agenda. In 2023 and 2024, AFP and AFP Action reached out to nearly 30 million voters.
