Derrick Sontag is the current vice president of state operations and the former state director for the Kansas chapter of Americans for Prosperity. Prior to joining AFP, Derrick was most recently the state director for the Kansas branch of the National Federation of Independent Business. He has served as executive director of the Kansas Republican Party and also worked in various areas of state government, including for the Attorney General, State Treasurer, and as chief of staff for the Kansas Speaker of the House. The Wichita native currently resides in Topeka, Kansas, with his wife, Sherriene, and twelve-year-old daughter, Maddie.
