Washington, D.C. – Confidence among small business owners has surged to its highest point in recent memory, following the enactment of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBBA). According to the latest CNBC|SurveyMonkey Small Business Survey, 46% of small business owners now rate the U.S. economy as “excellent” or “good,” a substantial jump from just 30% in the previous quarter.

This upswing in optimism is a clear result of OBBBA, which provides long-awaited stability and policy certainty for entrepreneurs across the country.

AFP’s Managing Director, Kent Strang, issued the following statement:

“Small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy—and thanks to OBBBA – America’s economic outlook is stronger than it has been in a long time. This bill delivers the predictability business owners rely on to make bold decisions that power local economies.”

“With OBBBA in place, small business owners are expressing renewed confidence to invest, hire, and expand. The legislation is a cornerstone of pro-growth policy, laying a strong foundation for long-term prosperity and economic opportunity nationwide.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat or Republican, every business benefits from predictable tax rates – and that relief is showing up loud and clear in this survey.”
