Harrisburg, PA– On today’s anniversary of the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) is reminding Pennsylvanians that the historic inflation they’ve experienced in recent years is a product of the failed leadership of senators like Bob Casey.
Inflation has been unusually high since the Biden-Harris administration took office due to reckless spending, and there is no doubt that the trillion-dollar IRA did nothing to reduce it. In fact, increased inflation has cost the average Pennsylvania household more than $23,000 since January 2021.
Senator Casey was the deciding vote on many of these disastrous “Bidenomics” policies that have contributed to the pain Americans are experiencing as the cost of living has skyrocketed under his watch.
Casey claimed the Inflation Reduction Act is “a fiscally responsible bill that will bring down our national debt” and “lower costs for Americans.” Does Casey still stand by his vote?
AFP-Pennsylvania State Director Emily Greene released the following statement:
“Bob Casey claims to fight for Pennsylvanians, yet his support of the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ directly caused the record-high costs and skyrocketing inflation that are harming Pennsylvania families and businesses today. Thanks to Casey, Pennsylvanians are paying nearly $1,000 more per month than before the Biden-Harris administration.
“Pennsylvanians deserve to know if Casey still stands by this bait-and-switch or regrets advancing his radical, progressive agenda over the well-being of Pennsylvanians.”
