WOODHAVEN, MI – On Friday, Americans for Prosperity–Michigan (AFP-MI) and State Rep. Jamie Thompson (R-Brownstown Township) hosted a housing reform community roundtable in Woodhaven to hear directly from local stakeholders about the housing challenges affecting Michigan families and communities, especially issues impacting cost of living, housing supply, and the ability to responsibly develop and improve neighborhoods.
This roundtable served as an opportunity for community members, local leaders, and policymakers to discuss real housing challenges and collaborate on practical, people-focused solutions that strengthen communities across Michigan.
AFP-MI State Director Tim Golding released the following statement:
“Michiganders turned out to tackle the housing challenges facing our state. AFP-MI, Rep. Jamie Thompson, and other conservative members of the state legislature work tirelessly to reduce the cost of living for our communities while increasing quality of life, and the input from Michigan constituents and residents is the most important part of this process.
“Michiganders’ valuable input on housing reform, development, and community safety will allow AFP-MI and state representatives to pursue common-sense legislative initiatives that have a tangible positive impact on not only our neighborhoods, but also our wallets.
“We are grateful to Rep. Thompson for joining this roundtable and for her work bringing the ideas generated by our community members to the state legislature.”
