ICYMI: Sen. Lummis on FOX Business After Joining AFP-WY’s Pre-“Bidenomics” Gas Discount Event

May 29, 2024 by AFP

CHEYENNE, WY – U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) went on FOX Business yesterday to hit on the Biden administration’s energy policies that are making Americans pay more at the pump, after she joined Americans for Prosperity – Wyoming (AFP-WY) for a pre-“Bidenomics” gas discount event in Cheyenne.

“We need to produce more. We need to produce enough that we can meet our own needs, be energy independent, and export to other economies,” Lummis told FOX Business White House Correspondent Edward Lawrence on “Cavuto Coast to Coast” on Tuesday in a segment featuring footage from the event.

“The prices are high because we’re not producing as much as we need to have prices that the American people can afford within their own budgets,” she said, citing Biden’s restrictions on energy projects on federal lands in Wyoming.

AFP-WY rolled back the price of gas to $2.38 – the national average price when Joe Biden took office in 2021 – for hundreds of drivers at the Hi Market in Cheyenne on Sunday to offer drivers some relief from inflation as they geared up for the summer driving season.

Lummis and U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) joined AFP-WY State Director Tyler Lindholm to connect them with real solutions that will create energy abundance and keep costs down in Wyoming and across the nation.
