Huntsville, AL—In case you missed it, Americans for Prosperity-Alabama (AFP-AL) recently hosted Congressman Dale Strong (AL-05) for a roundtable discussion on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Alabama families’ federal tax bill could raise by $2,127 if the Senate doesn’t follow the House in approving the spending bill and preventing the TCJA from expiring this year.
AFP’s national Protect Prosperity campaign educates voters around the country about savings that are currently in place due to the TCJA and encourages them to take action and contact federal lawmakers to vote for the renewal.
“This is not just legislation, it’s a promise kept to the American people,” said Rep. Strong. “I’m proud to support President Trump’s promise to deliver historic tax relief and put money back in the pockets of American families.”
AFP-AL State Director Adam Thompson also spoke to attendees and thanked the Congressman for representing Alabama’s voices in Congress by passing the critical tax cuts.
“Congressman Strong has fought tirelessly to represent the interests of Alabamians, and we are fortunate to have a strong advocate for extending President Trump’s tax cuts in the U.S. House of Representatives. He knows that we cannot allow the TCJA to expire and enact the largest tax increase in recent history for Alabama families,” Thompson stated.
