JACKSON, MS – This week, Americans for Prosperity – Mississippi (AFP-MS) hosted a luncheon and activism Day at the Capitol. During the event, more than 100 grassroots activists heard from a variety of representatives from national organizations on key issues such as education freedom and health care reform and later spoke with lawmakers at the Capitol.
AFP-MS State Director Starla Brown released the following statement:
“We thank the lawmakers who took time out of their busy schedules to meet our grassroots activists and students. Hearing directly from elected leaders about the legislative process and how they represent their communities is vital to create long-lasting change.
“AFP-MS will continue to be on the frontlines encouraging our state legislators to transform our education landscape and allow innovation in health care. Thanks to our grassroots activists who made time for this special event—the continued success of our Mississippi chapter would not be possible without them.”
