LANSING, MI – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Michigan (AFP-MI)’s State Director Tim Golding spoke at a press conference at a local housing development on the need for housing reform. The event also featured remarks from Rep. Kristian Grant and Rep. Joe Aragona, who are leading a bipartisan coalition in the Michigan House to make housing more affordable for Michigan families.
In his remarks, AFP-MI State Director Tim Golding said:
“Excessive red tape is stifling economic growth and innovation. Gas, grocery, and housing prices remain too high, putting the American Dream out of reach for Michigan families…
“…We are focused on putting people over politics, and that means taking meaningful steps to provide affordable housing by increasing the available supply and returning local control back to property owners.”
Several housing reform bills are expected to be taken up this session by the Michigan legislature.
