TOPEKA, KS – Last week, Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS) hosted Representative Tracey Mann (R-KS) for a tele-town hall event with constituents to answer questions on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and discuss its impact on hardworking Kansans and the future of America.
“He has been a tireless advocate for our state and our values” said AFP-KS State Director Elizabeth Patton, who introduced the congressman. “We are so excited to have him with us as a huge advocate for these policies that mean so much for everyday Kansans.”
Mann, a vocal proponent of the bill, emphasized that the legislation makes the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent, protecting Kansans from a 22% increase in federal income taxes that would have gone into effect next year.
“This is one of the biggest and most consequential pieces of legislation in the history of our country,” Rep. Mann said. “It’s also one of the largest pieces of welfare reform in history, aimed at stamping out waste fraud and abuse,” he added.
Background: AFP’s $20 million “Protect Prosperity” campaign was the single largest effort by any outside group to advance the renewal of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
