Despite a clear path to keep the government open, Democrat leaders opted to shut it down—ignoring the will of the American people and jeopardizing essential services. “[Senator] Schumer wants to live in a Bidenomics world. He wants to live in the world where Democrats spent 5.5 trillion dollars that resulted in a forty year high inflation, now he wants to go ahead and spend another one and a half trillion. People put an end to that. They voted for Republicans to rein in government spending, to end the waste fraud and abuse. I hope Republicans continue to hold strong against that spending spree that Schumer is advocating for.”
