Americans for Prosperity-Montana Announces State Legislative Endorsements
BOZEMAN, MT – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Montana (AFP-Montana) announced the endorsement of five candidates for election and re-election to the Montana State Legislature.
Doug Adams (SD-02), Lynn Bennett (HD-04), Hannah Trebas (HD-19), State Rep. Marty Malone (HD-57) and State Rep. Lynn Hellegaard (HD-89) each garnered the endorsement of AFP-Montana for their leadership and desire to tackle the high inflation and property taxes facing Montanans.
As part of the largest grassroots organization in the country, AFP-Montana and our grassroots volunteers and staff will be laser-focused on these five races heading into November.
AFP-Montana Deputy State Director Henry Kriegel released the following statement:
“AFP-Montana is proud to endorse Adams, Bennett, Trebas and Reps. Malone and Hellegaard in their bids for State Legislature. These candidates will focus on bringing down high property taxes and the high cost of living facing Montana families. AFP-Montana’s army of grassroots staff and volunteers will be canvassing across the state to help ensure these candidates are elected come November.”
Endorsed Candidates:
Doug Adams (SD-02)
Doug Adams, a former Whitefish City Councilman, will be a vital addition to Montana’s State Senate when elected. Adams will support common-sense economic issues including property tax cuts and a smaller state budget when elected. He will also fight for educational freedom and parental rights.
Lynn Bennett (HD-04)
A homeschooling mother of three with more than 20 years of experience in the medical field, Bennett has vowed to be a fighter for education reform in the State Legislature. She will advocate for increased educational opportunities, responsible fiscal policies and free-market solutions to housing affordability including zoning and regulatory reform while protecting property rights.
Hannah Trebas (HD-19)
Hannah Trebas, a home-school parent, is incredibly passionate about educational opportunities for Montana’s students and will be an important advocate for education reform. She has also expressed support for budget reforms like increased spending transparency and (Tax Increment Financing) TIF reform and will work to spur economic growth and job creation.
State Rep. Marty Malone (HD-57)
State Rep. Malone, a former Park County Commissioner, is a key ally for AFP-Montana on energy and regulatory issues facing the State Legislature. He has been a champion for property rights, sunsetting regulations every five years and removing barriers for energy development in Montana.
State Rep. Lynn Hellegaard (HD-89)
Rep. Hellegaard has been a trusted partner on spending and health care issues in the State Legislature. In just her freshman term, Hellegaard has been a vital voice for personal option reforms to ensure that patients have access to the doctor they trust, the quality care they deserve and at a price they can afford.
