JACKSON, MS – Americans for Prosperity – Mississippi (AFP-MS) highlighted a new testimonial video, How Addiction Inspired Advocacy: The Molly Angel Project & The Fight Against Fentanyl. The video features AFP-MS partnering with Christi Berrong-Barber, creator of The Molly Angel Project, and shares how grassroots activism and community involvement can lead to positive change.

AFP-MS State Director, Starla Brown, released the following statement:
“We thank Christi for sharing her story and using her son’s sentence to turn a tragedy into action. The Molly Angel Project and Christi’s dedication to bring healing serves as a great reminder of the power of grassroots advocacy, community involvement, and being engaged in the legislative process.
“AFP-MS will continue working with Christi and supporting the Molly Angel Project as she continues her vital work of bringing increased access to drug treatment to our state.”
Christi attended the Grassroots Leadership Academy, a project of Americans for Prosperity Foundation, designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective grassroots advocacy. This training propelled Christi into activism and gave her knowledge and resources to make a difference in Mississippi.”
