Americans for Prosperity Launches Idaho Chapter, Expanding Grassroots Power to the Gem State

Nov 12, 2025 by AFP

Boise, ID – Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s premier grassroots advocacy powerhouse, is deepening its commitment to Idaho with the official launch of its 37th brick-and-mortar state chapter. After several years of driving policy wins through a regional model and building momentum on the ground, AFP’s expansion, which includes adding full-time staff and establishing a permanent grassroots presence, marks the next phase in empowering Idahoans to advance freedom, opportunity, and government accountability.

AFP’s movement in Idaho builds on decades of success driving citizen-led change across the country. As one of America’s fastest-growing states, Idaho is primed for AFP’s proven grassroots model — mobilizing communities, holding government accountable, and advancing policies that unleash economic opportunity. With deep experience and a strong foundation already in Idaho, AFP is ready to help Idahoans protect what makes their state exceptional and shape its future for generations to come.

Leading the charge is Jason Lehosit, a lifelong Idahoan and seasoned policy expert with three decades of experience in Northwest politics who previously served as the Policy Director for Secretary of State Phil McGrane.

“I’m excited to lead AFP Idaho and support Idahoans getting engaged in grassroots efforts to magnify common sense and free market values across the state,” said Jason Lehosit, AFP-Idaho State Director. “Idaho’s on a great path, but we can’t take that for granted. We need to keep cutting red tape, reining in wasteful spending, and protecting the values that make Idaho such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”

AFP-Idaho will focus on building a broad-based grassroots movement to advance common-sense, pro-growth policies — and ensure elected officials are working for the people in advancing free markets, individual liberty, and limited government.
